Hughes:O’Hanlon Architects were appointed by Pave Aways to deliver re-modelling works to Oxon CE Primary School, Shrewsbury for Shropshire County Council.
The development expanded the facilities and introduced sustainable features to reduce operational costs and create a greener, more sustainable future for the school.
Key works included expanding the dining and performance hall, mechanical and electrical upgrades, and the installation of a photovoltaic system and air source heat pump. Enhanced ceiling insulation was also added to improve thermal efficiency and year-round comfort.
To accommodate the expansion, ancillary accommodation was relocated and repositioned. The project delivers improved functionality, energy efficiency and reduced operational costs for the school, aligning with sustainability goals.
