Grassroots Football Facilities
Hughes:O’Hanlon Architects was appointed by Wrexham County Borough Council to develop, in conjunction with the Cymru Football Foundation, concept designs for grassroots football facilities.
We developed a step-by-step concept that allows clubs and community groups to grow facilities incrementally in line with their needs and available funding.
Referencing the Football Association of Wales’ Inspirational & Fit for Purpose Facilities Strategy and Environments for Her guidance, the concept designs incorporate sustainable features, female-friendly accommodation and fully accessible layouts.
The designs will complement the CFF’s Changing Room Guidance document and will be used to ensure suitable and aspirational facilities for the growing men’s and women’s game across Wales.
