Cornist Park School
Hughes:O'Hanlon Architects was appointed by Wynne Construction with a brief to provide suitable accommodation for the future expansion of the Cornist Park School site. The proposed works mark the commencement of the second phase of Flintshire County Council's Early Years Childcare Programme, a crucial initiative to enhance educational facilities for younger children.
The project comprises a new single-storey wraparound childcare facility, designed to accommodate 40 Early Years places for two and three year olds. The development includes associated car parking and landscaped areas in line with Building Bulletin 99. Designed to maximise flexibility, the functional and service accommodation is positioned along one side of the building leaving the central area open and adaptable for multi-use activities.
